Cleo Cox

Biodynamic Cranial Osteopath.

I first encountered osteopathy when I was 15 years old; and now, 40 years later with over  24 years of experience in the fields of cranial and biodynamic osteopathy, I am still amazed by the scope of osteopathy to heal others.

My continual learning and training to ‘listen’ with my hands and my heart is a humbling experience of how, when placed in a position of wholeness, our bodies heal themselves, returning to a position of health and wellbeing.

I love working with osteopathic principles and philosophy. I have a wealth of experience as an osteopath and wellness practitioner –  from working with chronic pain, recovery from accidents and trauma, to restoring a person’s sense of wellbeing, a feeling of being themselves again.

I have seen and experienced how the interplay of a persons’ physical, mental emotional and spiritual self, plays a major role in their resilience  to life stresses; and have trained as a health coach and meditation teacher to be able to offer a deeper health care service to those seeking relief from pain.

Before training to become an osteopath I gained a BSc (hons) in Human Sciences, and an M.A in Environmental Philosophy. I am currently on phase 6 in a 9 year training in the field a biodynamic approach to cranial osteopathy.I have recently completed an M.A in Creative Writing and Wellbeing as I continue to  pursue my interest in neurosciences and wellbeing.

Along with my meditation practices,  I enjoy yoga and the outdoors. I have half my visual field as result of brain cancer when 15, and love being able to follow this path of service to help others heal.

Thanks Cleo for getting me up and going. The MRI scan confirmed everything you had noted and without your time, expertise, and dedication I probably wouldn’t have been training again let alone winning in our Durham 8+ at the World Masters Rowing Championships in Italy this year. P.

With long-standing back and neck problems, scoliosis etc, over the years I became nervous of manipulation, especially of my neck. I don’t know how I would have managed if I hadn’t found my way to Cleo, whose technique is so gentle and non-invasive and has such a profound effect.  AB Darlington

After years of living with intensive pain from Arthritis and chronic back pain I had just about had every treatment my GP could offer me from Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Ultra Sound and pills to make me rattle. A close friend suggested I made an appointment to see Cleo as she had been recommended her by another friend. The treatment I received from Cleo has changed my every day life. I have barely any pain and have so much more movement its hard to think of all the years I struggled. I still visit Cleo for a top up session every now and then but have to say pain and movement I’m a different person. Cleo is worth her weight in gold and I have recommended other friends to have treatment. J.S. Darlington

5yrs ago I had a series of lumber punctures that left me with sever back pain and numbness in my upper legs. I was recommended to see Cleo through a friend. Unsure of what could be done after years of nothing from the hospital I decided to go.
Cleo has changed my life. I have feeling back in my legs and the back pain is a distant memory. If my legs start to tingle I go back to see Cleo and within days its gone.

I cant express my gratitude to Cleo as at 44yrs old I have my life back. D. Darlington

After suffering for three months with terrible pain in my lower back I was persuaded by a relative to arrange a consultation with Cleo.  I find any sort of health related consultation difficult and need to be in an intolerable amount of pain before I will seek any help.

Immediately, upon meeting Cleo I felt at ease and comfortable.  After only one treatment I was able to sit, stand and walk in relative comfort and after the second, was experiencing no pain or discomfort at all.  The techniques that Cleo has used to resolve my problems are not invasive and each treatment has left me feeling physically re-balanced and re-aligned, relaxed and rejuvenated.  Not only do I now look forward to a regular treatment to maintain this balance and alignment but I do not hesitate to contact Cleo if I have a niggle that needs to be addressed. After weeks of unsuccessful and expensive treatment for a shoulder, elbow and ankle problem I visited Cleo, having been recommended by an acquaintance – after just one session the improvement was amazing, and each visit has resulted in my becoming mobile and pain free again.
